Music selection and archive from Cuba focusing on water scarcity. Not very informative, but a great selection of music to think about the most precious resource we have.

In this e-flux podcast episode, Isabelle Fremeaux and Jay Jordan discuss their book We Are “Nature” Defending Itself, exploring the intersection of art, activism, and autonomous zones, and reflecting on their experiences with the ZAD (Zone à Défendre) movement in France - a self-organized, autonomous protest camp in where activists resist major infrastructure projects and experiment with alternative ways of living.

In this Part 2 of our intervention in the Antipode Jounrnal of Radical Geography we dive into how policing and militarisation drive the global gas boom through encounters with activists from NoTap Meludungo, “Squatted Old Morgue”/κατάληψη Παλιού Νεκροτομείου, Alexandroupoli and members of the village community of Ionninna. These struggles remind us that a world liberated from arms, cops and an exploitative energy model is always possible.
